Proposal at The Brewery

The Brewery venue occupies the site of the former Whitbread Brewery in East London. With its central location, unique features and esteemed history, it has been the site of several royal visits, including George III, Queen Charlotte and Queen Elizabeth II. Following the closure of Whitbread in 1976, The Brewery has been transformed into a unique event space with a wide range of adaptable spaces, firmly establishing it as one of London’s most spectacular destinations for weddings.

The unique spaces on offer at The Brewery provide a truly special experience for couples holding their weddings here. Catering for parties of between 40 and 600 guests, the venue can be transformed from a blank canvas event space to a dynamic and magical setting, with atmospheric lighting, original features and clever branding creating the perfect platform for couples to exchange their vows.

Couples can hold their wedding in the 600 capacity Porter Tun, where guests can enjoy one of the most striking spaces on the London venue scene, with an antique wooden floor and exposed King Post timber roof. For more intimate gatherings, the elegant Georgian inspired Sugar Rooms are available, with exposed timber beams and original period windows.

For couples looking for a truly unique wedding experience, combinations of rooms can be used for their wedding, with guests able to move between The Sugar Rooms, The Porter Tun, the Queen Charlotte and the King George III, both featuring vaulted ceilings, period lanterns and warm exposed brickwork. The Brewery also has a picturesque courtyard, a tranquil oasis in the heart of London and the perfect backdrop for stunning wedding photos and drinks receptions in the warmer summer months.

The individuality of the venue space is also reflected in the bespoke services offered to create the most memorable day for couples. Milena, The Brewery’s experienced wedding planner works closely with every couple from the initial enquiry until the big day itself, with experienced chefs, technicians and serving staff ensuring the day runs like clockwork.

The whole team continually go above and beyond, and are industry experts in finding creative and unique ways to cater for bespoke needs, including creating spectacular 6 course wedding menus and working with the couple to create bespoke decoration for the event space of their choice.
